Frequently asked questions about calls in United States
How do I find out who called me from an unknown number in United States?

Does looking up a number cost anything?
No. Looking up numbers, reading comments and posting your own is free, with no sign-up and no lookup limits.
What should I do if I think the call was a scam?
Hang up, never share codes or passwords, and call the official number of the organization they claimed to represent. Then leave a comment on the number page to warn others and, if you lost money or data, report it to the authorities.
How do I dial a United States number from abroad?
From a mobile phone, type +1 followed by the national number. From a landline, replace the + with the exit code of the country you are in: 00 in most countries and 011 in the United States and Canada.
